At The Venue we hire lanes so your coach can run a focused, uninterrupted session built entirely around your stroke and your goals.
Every coach is fully accredited — Swim England, ASA or STA Level 2 minimum — and DBS-checked before joining the network. Your first session is an assessment: a full stroke watch, the key technical priorities identified, and a coaching plan that follows from session two. Progress is deliberate and measurable, not just more mileage.

Barnet Copthall Leisure Centre and its 25-metre pool anchor much of the borough’s training, and there’s a strong club, masters and triathlon community right across Chipping Barnet, Whetstone and Totteridge — with the well-known Barnet Copthall Swimming Club developing competitive swimmers locally. Club nights and public lanes build fitness and racing experience, but they rarely give you a coach watching your stroke alone. Yes — we coach junior club swimmers aged 8–18 as well as adults. 1-to-1 technical sessions run in hired lanes and are designed to work alongside your child's existing club programme, not replace it. All coaches are Swim England, ASA or STA qualified and DBS-checked, and a parent or guardian stays on-site throughout.
Sessions run in hired lanes at The Venue Leisure Centre in Borehamwood — around 12 minutes from Chipping Barnet up the A1.
