Herts Swim Coach operates from The Venue Leisure Centre in Borehamwood — one of Hertfordshire's best-equipped leisure facilities, with a 25-metre pool and dedicated lane sessions for coached swimming.
We hire lanes directly so our coaches can run focused, uninterrupted sessions. Whether you're training for a triathlon, improving your technique, or getting back into serious swimming — you get a proper coaching environment, not a public lane share.
All coaching at Borehamwood is delivered by fully accredited, DBS-checked coaches — vetted before they join our network. Your first session includes a stroke assessment so your coach can identify the specific technical changes that will make the biggest difference to your swimming. A programme is built around those priorities from session two onwards.
The Venue sits within easy reach of Elstree, Radlett, Bushey, Barnet and North London — and with Elstree & Borehamwood station a five-minute walk away, it's one of the most accessible coached swimming venues in Hertfordshire. Sessions run across the week, including early mornings, to fit around work and family commitments.

Coached group sessions weekday mornings 6:30–8:30am. Adults 18+. Entry level 400m continuous. Progressive weekly blocks with poolside coaching throughout.

Yes — we coach junior club swimmers aged 8–18 as well as adults. 1-to-1 technical sessions run in hired lanes and are designed to work alongside your child's existing club programme, not replace it. All coaches are Swim England, ASA or STA qualified and DBS-checked, and a parent or guardian stays on-site throughout.
